GC and builder debris dumpsters for SWFL job sites. Contractor 7-day $425-450, monthly $499-525. Swap scheduling, driveway vs. ROW rules. Book 24/7.

By Roberto “Robert” Quiñones, Owner-Operator · KYN Hauling LLC

Quick answer: A construction site cleanup dumpster from KYN Hauling is a 20-yard roll-off built for active GC and builder debris flow — framing scrap, drywall, packaging, mixed trade waste. Contractor 7-day rentals run $425-450, monthly plans run $499-525 for jobs that run long. No permit needed for driveway or job-pad placement; public right-of-way needs city approval. Why job sites need a different rental setup than a cleanout

A one-time residential cleanout generates a single wave of debris — you fill the dumpster once, we haul it, done. A construction site doesn't work that way. Debris shows up in stages: demo and framing early, drywall and finish scrap mid-build, packaging and cutoffs the whole way through. A GC or builder needs a rental structure that matches that rhythm, not a container that's full by day three with three weeks of framing still to go.

That's the gap our contractor pricing is built to close. Instead of pricing every job site like a one-off, we price it like an ongoing relationship — flat rates that account for repeat use, swap scheduling that lines up with your build pace, and one consistent point of contact so you're not re-negotiating terms every time a new phase starts.

Contractor pricing: 7-day vs. monthly

We offer two contractor rate structures depending on how long your job runs. Both use our single dumpster size — the 20-yard roll-off, which holds roughly 7-8 pickup-truck loads and fits on a standard driveway or job pad.

PlanPriceBest for
Contractor 7-day$425-450A single build phase, a bathroom or kitchen remodel, a short punch-out job
Contractor monthly$499-525A full build timeline, new construction, or any job you know will run past a week
Active Monthly (heavier flow)$650/moHigh-volume active sites with frequent fills

Standard tonnage is included in both plans; anything past the included weight is billed at $80-90/ton, the same overage rate that applies across all our rentals. If your job is smaller and shorter than a typical build — say a weekend garage buildout — our standard 7-day rate of $485 (2 tons included) may actually work out cheaper than the contractor rate, so ask us to run both numbers when you call.

What goes in a construction cleanup dumpster

General GC and builder debris covers most of what a standard trade crew generates on-site: wood framing scrap, drywall cutoffs, cabinetry packaging, insulation, flooring remnants, and general trade trash. That's what the contractor rate is priced around.

Heavier tear-off material is priced separately from general debris because it fills the tonnage limit fast: roofing shingle loads run $550, tile loads run $650, and heavy material like concrete, block, or dirt runs $750. If your job mixes light framing debris with a heavy tear-off phase — say you're doing a full remodel that includes roof work — tell us both when you book so we can quote it correctly instead of hitting a surprise overage charge later. Scheduling swaps as debris flow builds

The main difference between a job-site rental and a cleanout rental is the swap. On a cleanout, one dumpster gets filled once and hauled away. On a build, the dumpster fills, gets pulled, and an empty one drops in its place — sometimes multiple times over a single job depending on how much debris the crew is generating.

The best approach is to set a rough swap cadence with us before the job starts, based on your build schedule — for example, a swap after framing wraps and again after drywall. That way the container is never sitting full for days waiting on a pickup, and it's never getting pulled early with room still left in it. If your timeline shifts, a quick call to (561) 878-1535 adjusts the next swap date.

Extra rental days beyond your plan run $15-20 per day, and if you need a container pulled faster than standard scheduling allows, same-day service is available for a $50 add-on. Extended rentals — 10 or 14 extra days beyond the base term — add $60 or $120 respectively, useful for jobs that slip past their original timeline.

Permits: driveway vs. right-of-way placement

Most builds don't need a permit at all. If the dumpster sits on the property itself — a driveway, a cleared job pad, or an interior lot area — no permit is required. The container is on private property and it's your call where it sits.

The exception is sites with no usable driveway access, where the only option is placing the dumpster in the public right-of-way — the street shoulder or curb area the city controls. That placement requires city approval before delivery. This comes up most often on tight urban lots or new-construction sites where the driveway hasn't been poured yet. If you're unsure which situation applies to your job site, call us before delivery day and we'll help you sort it out — see our permit guide for area-specific detail.

Protecting the driveway or job pad

A 20-yard roll-off is heavy once loaded, and repeated swaps on the same driveway or pad over a multi-week build put more wear on the surface than a single drop. If the job site has a paved driveway you want to protect, boards under the container ($25) reduce point-load damage from delivery, pickup, and swap trucks. It's a small add-on worth considering on any job where the same driveway sees several swaps over the build. More detail is in our driveway protection guide.

Booking for GCs and repeat contractor accounts

If you're running multiple job sites or booking dumpsters regularly across a build calendar, our contractor accounts setup is built for exactly that — consistent pricing, one point of contact, and faster booking without re-explaining your job every time. It pairs naturally with same-day scheduling for last-minute site needs; see our same-day dumpster rental page for how that works.

We serve active job sites across Sarasota County and Charlotte County, including North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Englewove, and Arcadia. Delivery adds a small flat fee outside the base zone — never a surprise, always published before you book.
