Florida landfills enforce strict rules on what can be disposed of in a roll-off dumpster, and violations can mean rejected loads or fees. Here's the full list of what's not allowed in a KYN roll-off — and what to do instead.

Prohibited items

• Liquids of any kind (paint, oil, chemicals)
• Hazardous chemicals and solvents
• Batteries (car, marine, lithium)
• Electronics (TVs, computers, monitors)
• Refrigerant-containing appliances (unless refrigerant is professionally removed first)
• Asbestos-containing materials
• Medical or biohazard waste
• Propane tanks or pressurized containers
• Hot ashes
• Vehicle parts still containing fluids
• Animal waste

Items allowed with a surcharge

Tires are allowed at $25 each. Mattresses are allowed at $40 each. Appliances (non-refrigerant, like ovens or washing machines) are allowed at $25–50 depending on size.
